Obernkirchener Bildhauer-Symposium e. V.

Parallel to the International Sculptor Symposium the traditional Childrens Workshop takes place.

Unfortunate it has not been possible to arrange the Childrens Workshop in 2003 !

Hand in hand with artists from the Art School NoaNoa the youngsters will create their own project.

During the childrens workshop in 1994 the projekts “Floating Stones”

and in 1997

“Fred Flintstone’s Automobile” were succesfully made by the young artists.

During the symposium 2000 another vehicle shall be created. Inspired by the sketches of Leonardo da Vinci the children shall build an aeroplane made of Obernkirchen sandstone, wood, rope and other materials. Together the construction plan will be made. If the plane shall fly by moving wings like a bird or by rotating propellers.... this will be dicided by the young artists.

And the result......”Leonardo da Vinci’s aeroplane”     

The workshop will be lead by artists from the Art School NoaNoa

The Art School NoaNoa was started by artists and other interested people in the area of Barsinghausen.

Since 1992 the school is registered as a non-commercial association.

This association makes it possible for everyone to learn creative techniques and to be active in different areas of art. Beside of the art classes, different projects and the work at schools the Art School NoaNoa presents art activities in public. “Kunst im Zechensaal” and “Der Deister ruft” were two of the most important events during the last years in Barsinghausen.

The work on location is lead by artists who combine the private art activities with the NoaNoa activities.

NoaNoa is active in many different fields of art and craft.

The NoaNoa members are experienced in working with children, teenagers and adults.
